Daddy time

It is funny to see what entertains kids and really makes them laugh!

Goodbye.. well for a while.

Just wanted to let you all know I may not be posting for a while. We are taking our computer back to Costco b/c we are having some problems with it that we can't fix. Good thing for the 90 day warranty! Anyway I thought I would write a little update on us.

We are staying busy with home projects! There is always something that needs to be done, improved, etc. I just finished painting our play set and Sat we hauled dirt, (that we shoveled into Steve's truck all by ourselves!) We are going to try and plant some bushes and some grass under our two huge pine trees. The dirt came from a potato farmer and had a lot of rocks in it, (see pic) that is going to be my project for the week!

Steve said it was good to do some manual labor! We were a little sore the next day from all that shoveling! Lucas on the other hand was a little upset that he wasn't getting enough play time with us and was a little grumpy:)
I' am so grateful for my husband and my son. I love them both so much and know how lucky I' am to have them. Lucas may be a momma's boy but he loves to play and laugh with his dad.

You have got to be kidding me!!!!

So about two weeks ago I was coming home from my neice's prom. I was traveling on a road by the highschool that used to be 50 mph. Well I went about 200 yards and I got pulled over. I guess the speed limit is now 35 mph and I was going 48 mph. Needless to say, the cop didn't give me any breaks and I got a big ol ticket! Just a week before Steve and I were talking about how my driving record just got cleared! Grrr!

Today I took my niece Kimberly out to lunch, (same one I went to watch at the prom march) and we were on the same exact road and I was going the speed limit so I wouldn't get a ticket. As we were driving I saw a cop just up the road and I said, "haha you can't get me this time." Right after I passed the car, he flips on his lights and pulls me over! I couldn't believe it! He asked the same hum drum question "do you know why I pulled you over." I replied, " No I just got a ticket on this road like a week ago and I was watching my speed." Well according to him he said I was going 41 mph. I ended up giving him my drivers license, etc.... He then also asked for my niece's driver license. She asked him why and he didn't give an answer. After about 10 minutes he came back and said well I' am not going to give you a ticket for going 41mph. I told him I was being careful and watching my speed and he said well maybe you have bigger tiers and they bump up your speed.

I was just so glad that I didn't get a ticket that I didn't mind putting up with this cop's bull. Man I haven't got a ticket in 4+ years and now I almost got two in one month! Geesh they must be after me!!!!

Good weekend!

It has been such a fun week! On Friday my sister Staci called me and asked if Lukie and I wanted to go to this park called Storybook in Burley. I have never been a big fan of Burley and was like what you want to drive for an hour to get to a park??!! Well it ended up being so fun and awesome. A lot of mothers from the Burley area got together and made money for the park to be built. Lucas had a lot of fun climbing up the towers and just being with a ton of kids! Melissa my niece really helped out and would take Lucas on the swings and keep him happy.

On Saturday my nephew Jayden got baptised. It is really neat to think of how clean and pure children are right after they are baptised. I just wanted to be near him and feel the spirit around him. Sunday is always a good day. It was 76* degrees here today! We went outside for a while and Steve said it was almost too hot! I' am loving it on the other hand, I' am so excited for summer. It is crazy to think that is snowed last Wednesday. Anyway, I' am ready for a sun filled week!

HoT!

Lucas has learned how to say hot in the past couple of weeks. He has never touched anything that was really hot so I was suprised how he quickly he caught on and now he uses it all the time. It is so funny to see him say it, as you can see from the video, he opens his mouth really big and whispers it. I was trying to get him to say dog, which he says more than mama or dada:) We have a dog that he loves to sit and watch. Lucas is at such a fun age and he makes me laugh daily, what a CorKer!!
