I know I' am a little behind on my posts (especially when my friends tell me it's been a while:) so here we go. The above pictures are when we went and saw that lights in the South hills. A homeowner up there decorates their house head to toe with all sorts of lights. There are so many and they are all different. They keep them up all year long, it would take way too long to take them all down and put them up every year. When we got there Lucas was asleep so I was unsure if he would like it. After we got everyone suited up we walked around the lights. Lucas loved it! His favorite part was a little house that had a choo choo train that went around it. Needless to say he had a great time and screamed when we leaved:)
We stayed home for Christmas this year. I really like being home and relaxing on that day. A few years ago we traveled on Christmas and it seemed to take away all the holiday spirit for us.
As Lucas gets older Christmas seems to get better and better. He woke up really early (5:30) and I thought I had better get some breakfast in him before he opened his presents and saw some of the candy. After he got done eating we let him walk in and he saw his tool bench (got a stealing deal off of KSL). He didn't quite know what to think. We also had a horse wrapped for him from Grandma and Grandpa Palmer. After he unwrapped it got right on it and knew what to do. After he looked in his stalking and found some books he was one content little boy. I could have saved all the rest of his presents and he would have been happy. That is one of the best things about this age is that they don't care how many presents they get and are happy with whatever they get! I know that that kind of mentality quickly changes as they get older so I should enjoy it while I can:) We had a very fun Christmas and I' am so grateful for our many blessings!
