Christmas!

I know I' am a little behind on my posts (especially when my friends tell me it's been a while:) so here we go. The above pictures are when we went and saw that lights in the South hills. A homeowner up there decorates their house head to toe with all sorts of lights. There are so many and they are all different. They keep them up all year long, it would take way too long to take them all down and put them up every year. When we got there Lucas was asleep so I was unsure if he would like it. After we got everyone suited up we walked around the lights. Lucas loved it! His favorite part was a little house that had a choo choo train that went around it. Needless to say he had a great time and screamed when we leaved:)

We stayed home for Christmas this year. I really like being home and relaxing on that day. A few years ago we traveled on Christmas and it seemed to take away all the holiday spirit for us.
As Lucas gets older Christmas seems to get better and better. He woke up really early (5:30) and I thought I had better get some breakfast in him before he opened his presents and saw some of the candy. After he got done eating we let him walk in and he saw his tool bench (got a stealing deal off of KSL). He didn't quite know what to think. We also had a horse wrapped for him from Grandma and Grandpa Palmer. After he unwrapped it got right on it and knew what to do. After he looked in his stalking and found some books he was one content little boy. I could have saved all the rest of his presents and he would have been happy. That is one of the best things about this age is that they don't care how many presents they get and are happy with whatever they get! I know that that kind of mentality quickly changes as they get older so I should enjoy it while I can:) We had a very fun Christmas and I' am so grateful for our many blessings!

Recent fun

Steve and I in front of our hotel in Boise. It was such a fun little escape. Three years sure does go by fast!
At our hotel, this was of course Steve's favorite spot, in front of the big screen:)
Lucas watching a movie with dad while sitting in a little toy bin:)

Taking Lucas for a sled ride on the slick roads. I think I need a better sled, this one easily tips:)

Sledding with his pal Lydia . Kristen (Lydia's mom) and I work out every morning so they see each other every day. They used to play really well with each other and get along. They still play together pretty good but they fight like brother and sister:) Lydia was actually Lucas's first name that he learned to say.

Wow it sure has been crazy this past couple of weeks. Last Tuesday I had a Dr.s appointment. Everything is going good. The top number on my blood pressure has been a little high but they don't seem too worried about it so I guess I shouldn't be:) I need to have enough faith and trust that everything will turn out they way it is supposed to. Next month I go in for my ultrasound. We are NOT going to find out again but it will be fun to see our little baby.
This Wednesday is our third anniversary. Since Steve is on call this weekend we were able to sneak away last Friday and go up to Boise. It was our first time leaving Lucas overnight and we were really excited to get some alone time and for both of us to sleep in! We stayed at the Hyatt Place and was really pleased with the quality. I think Steve's favorite part of the room was the big screen:) The next morning we did a little shopping and went to a movie. It was a short little escape but we had a great time and need to do it more often:)
I just want to thank my sister and her girls for watching him and for getting up with him at 5:00 in the morning! I know he had a ton of fun there and was well taken care of:)
We have finally got some snow here and it is definitley "beginning to feel a lot like Christmas." Speaking of Christmas I need everyone's addresses. If you could e-mail them to me at willjaim@yahoo.com by this Thursday I would really appreciate it! I will post some pictures in a little bit, my camera is at my friends house.
