Taylor's Tuesdays

My baby is one month old today! I think that your second child seems to grow so much faster than the first one and you can't believe how fast time seems to go by. Taylor is doing well. Last week she caught a head cold and I was pretty nervous since she was only three weeks old. She has been sleeping for six hours at night so when she was waking up every couple of hours squirming and acting uncomfortable, I knew she wasn't acting her normal self. I took her to the Doc and he said she probably caught a virus but just to make sure he prescribed her some ammoxicillian. That day she seemed to be a bit better and it helped when I used nasal saline about every three hours. The next day she seemed so much better and slept great again so I decided not to start the antibiotic and she got over it on her own thankfully.
She is growing like crazy and is such a great baby. She likes to sleep on her stomach and loves to cuddle.

Flooding

Growing up in the country of Jerome I never experienced watering by means of flood irrigation. I remember going down to my Grandpa's in Orem Utah and hope he would be flooding his lawn! It was like a mini lake everywhere! When we moved to Gooding, a mere 20 miles away from Jerome, I was surprised to learn that they flood irrigated here. Today was the first time we have watered and to me it is a kick off for summer! I think Lucas will have a lot of fun with it this year. He was a little hesistant today because the water was cold and it wasent't a hot summer day. He also would get stuck in the mud and yell to be rescued. It is fun watching your kids explore new things.

Taylor's Tuesdays

Two Weeks Old!

Oh sweet child of mine! I can't believe it has been two weeks! It seems like Tay is growing so fast already! She has started being more awake during the day and is still sleeping really well. She is a night owl like Steve and I and loves to sleep in! Now only if we could get Lucas to sleep in :) Lucas loves his little sister and likes to give her hugs. I still don't think he quite understands the whole big and small concept b/c I have to keep reminding him that he is too big to lay on Taylor:) Here's to another good week!
Also, little side note. We watched the movie Fireproof the other night and I want to recommend it to everyone. Sure the acting is cheesy but I loved the concept of it. I don't want to ruin the movie but it is about a couple who is contemplting divorce. The dad of the guy asks him to take this 40 day love challenge before he signs the papers. I better stop there.:) It is pretty cool because they have a website that you can go to and also take the challenge. Anyways check it out!
